Fresh Currant Candle

The Fresh Currant candle mainly has an aroma of blackberries and red currants. A touch of tart citrus peel, a barely there hint of fir, and a subtle, sweet dusting of cinnamon complete and compliment the berry fragrance. The scent was specially created by Junko Kobori, (of Kobo Candles) who was originally from Kumamoto, Japan and traveled the world extensively before settling in New York. Many Kobo fragrances are reminiscent of places where Junko has traveled.

Kobo candles are made of domestically grown, sustainable soybeans and have clean-burning cotton wicks. The fragrances are strong enough to smell when the candle is burning; yet nicely and subtly fill rooms without being overwhelming. The cylindrical package the candle comes in is wrapped with a beautiful, botanical-themed, high-quality paper. A box of wooden matches and extinguishing lid are inside with the candle. The packaged candle is a substantial size; it stands at a height of 6" and is 4" in diameter weighing 1 lb. and 10 ounces. The candle inside weighs 1.7 lbs and has a burn time of 80 hours. Gently twist and lift lid to open. Candles are returnable as long as they are unburned and entire contents are included in new condition.

On a personal note, (honestly!) my mom and I smelled many, many candles at gift fairs before deciding that Kobo candles were our favorite.
